Delicious Spiced Bourbon eggnog Recipe

The best homemade eggnog recipe! Learn how to make eggnog at home. Keep it simple or spike it with bourbon for a wonderfully classic Christmas cocktail.

Tis the season, friends! For classic eggnog. For BOURBON eggnog. For the BEST HOMEMADE EGGNOG RECIPE EVER!

It’s the season for being next to the fire, curled up with a blanket, xmas tunes cranking. OR, in my case with this eggnog, great friends over for some grub eating and white elephant gift exchanging, xmas tunes cranking. Good times friends, good times.

OK, this is a BIG statement. But really, it is the best eggnog. Far and away better than any store bought you will buy. We like to add just a pinch of cinnamon to ours to give it that extra somethin-somethin. 🙂

If you’re used to the store bought eggnog, this homemade eggnog will seem very different. Rather than being heavy and thick, this eggnog is light and airy. It’s quite a bit easier to drink alongside all of those holiday indulgences. It also uses freshly grated nutmeg, which is KEY to getting that eggnog flavor. Fresh nutmeg is much more flavorful than pre-ground nutmeg. So just a few teaspoons goes a long way.
